Claude Desktop

Add Solrouter's MCP server to claude_desktop_config.json for sealed private chat and research tools inside Claude Desktop.

The same MCP server as Claude Code and Cursor, added to Claude Desktop's config file. Prompts sent through encrypted_chat are sealed on your machine and opened only inside the Intel TDX enclave.

Edit the config

Merge this block into the file. If it already has mcpServers, add only the solrouter entry.

Restart Claude Desktop

Quit it fully, then open it again. The Solrouter tools appear in the tools menu.

Recommended models

Model	Why
`gpt-oss-20b`	The default for `encrypted_chat`. General questions and summaries
`nosana:qwen3.8:27b`	Uncensored. Topics other models refuse

Each call is capped at 8K tokens of context and 4K of output. See Models.

What is sealed

Sealed: encrypted_chat, and the final model step of the three research tools.
Not sealed: the web, market, and RPC lookups the research tools make from your machine, and agent_run.

When it fails

Symptom	Fix
No Solrouter tools in the tool list	Claude Desktop reads the config at start. Quit it fully and open it again. Check the JSON is valid.
`npx` not found	Install Node.js 18 or newer. On macOS, Claude Desktop may not see a Node installed only in your shell profile; set `command` to the full path from `which npx`.
401 unauthorized	The key is mistyped or deleted. Keys start with `sk_solrouter_`.
402 insufficient funds	Your plan calls are used up and the USDC balance is below $0.02. Pick a plan or add USDC. See Pricing.
"Nosana GPU node is warming up"	The model's node was idle. Wait a moment and ask again.
